Het medisch personeel van de strijdkrachten in Ukraine heeft het zeer zwaar. De aanhoudende oorlog en eindeloze stroom gewonde soldaten is een mentale belasting die wij ons niet voor kunnen stellen. Daarbij raken ook zij gewond of worden gevangen genomen met alle gevolgen van dien.

Next project is in January 2024. Since the preparation of the project includes communication with a large number of partners, Ministries and military management, the dates will be announced a month before the project.

Frontline medics who risk their lives every day are saving others, enduring physical & emotional pain and witnessing suffering and death. However, even true heroes need help and support. The round-the-clock work in medical field leads to emotional exhaustion, depression, and the loss of highly valued healthcare professionals. We in the Repower Charitable Organization decided to change this and launch a fundraising campaign to raise UAH 5,600,000 ($152.400) for the third rehabilitation program.

“Repower” NGO is an international organization dedicated to providing mental health support to prevent serious complex psychological illness including post traumatic stress disorders and concussions consequences among active frontline military medics, doctors, and volunteers, so they can continue saving others’ lives on the battlefield.

Repower has developed a special rehabilitation program in Sweden (our countries have a deep historical connection, and Sweden has the highest percentage of support for Ukraine among EU countries). This program combines activities for both mental and physical recovery:‍

Psychological practices: 3-4 hours daily with Ukrainian war psychologists in groups and individually.
Body-oriented practices: Breathing techniques, qigong, sauna, swimming, etc.
Sensory restoration: Sound healing, music, and art therapy.
Experience Exchange Meetings: Ukrainian specialists share unique experiences gained in real battlefields, offering new solutions and approaches.
Cultural Program: Discovering centuries-long relationships between Sweden and Ukraine, visiting Skansen, Artipelag and other sightseeings. Meeting locals and witnessing their support is an important part of moral rehabilitation and humanitarian support.
Official Meetings: With the Minister of Defense and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden to share the current situation and needs from the frontline.

HOW TO SUPPORT: Our next psychological rehabilitation will take place in January ’24. As of today, we have already fundraised $45,000 for our nonprofit organization for the next project (full cost is $180,408). We are ready to collaborate in any possible way to receive financial donation or in-kind support:
– Accommodation for 60 rooms.
– Flights for 118 people (Poland – Stockholm)
– Meals or food (lunches/dinners)
– Bus transfers (2 buses with 60 seats)
– Thermo-cups, hoodies, or other useful merch
